Update – final report storm damage AFAS AZ stadium

Amstelveen, April 13^th 2020,

The final report on possible causes of the partial collision of the AFAS stadium roof in Alkmaar has been released April 12th by Royal HaskoningDHV.

Conclusion of the researchers is that the stadium roof,  due to construction flaws, was not calculated for the downward wind load of the storm of August 10 2019. The hypothesis that the PV modules might have played a role in the collision has been completely rejected by the researchers.
