Opening Port of Amsterdam solar roof

Last Thursday, Port of Amsterdam celebrated the opening of the brand new roof with 4,911 solar panels on a building on Kopraweg in the Port of Amsterdam. The roof was completed in close cooperation with the City of Amsterdam, Zoncoalitie and Sunprojects.

The Port Authority has its ambition to reach about 38 soccer fields of solar panels in the port area by the end of 2024 and has decided to increase its sustainability goals.

Sunprojects is very proud to realize this project together with Port of Amsterdam. In terms of total number of panels, this project is a milestone achieved now instead of the original 2024 target. Let's work together for a sustainable future!
