Solar Panels For The Schildkamp: A Radiant Future On The Roof Of The Old Sports Hall In Asperen
ASPEREN - De Schildkamp in Asperen, a 'well-kept secret', took another step toward sustainability on July 1. This versatile establishment, which serves tourists and business customers year-round with a hotel, brasserie and event venue, has unveiled a new secret: the installation of no fewer than 586 solar panels on the roof of the old sports hall.
The roof of the old sports hall turned out to have enough space to install as many as 586 solar panels. The energy generated by these is comparable to the consumption of ninety households. Raymond van der Velde, account manager of Sunprojects, talks enthusiastically about the project: "Our company usually works on even bigger projects, such as those for Ikea, but this project is really special. We are proud to contribute to it."
At Sunprojects, we pride ourselves on not only supporting large companies in their sustainability efforts, but also contributing to projects like this one in the local community.
We congratulate De Schildkamp on this important milestone in their journey toward a more sustainable future.
