Sustainable energy cooling and freezing systems.

Kivits Drunen in Waalwijk was looking for new ways to make its premises even more sustainable. They use energy to keep their refrigerated department store of 10,000m² continuously at the right temperature. As a supplier of fruit and vegetables and chilled products, it is important that each product remains in the right temperature-critical condition. Solar panels offer a good solution to do this sustainably.

Sunprojects has extensive experience in installing large installations on company roofs. We find it important that maximum sustainable energy can be generated in the available space. In the design we ended up with 2,200 solar panels.

The cooperation of Kivits Drunen and Sunprojects, has ensured an optimal sustainability of the building. The installed capacity is 1 MWp. The yield is approximately equal to the annual consumption of 350 Dutch households.
