Dordrecht - 5,3 MWp
Last year, Dudok Real Estate chose to develop its real estate development in Dordrecht sustainably. For this purpose, it decided to equip its distribution center in Dordrecht with solar panels. After the realization of the roof into a sustainable solar power plant, Dudok Real Estate sold its sustainable property to DHS Real Estate Investment Management.
Like Dudok Real Estate, DHS REIM is committed to sustainability and the responsible management of real estate. Sunprojects was commissioned by Eneco to execute this impressive project. Sunprojects wants to congratulate DYLAN Steel Solutions, a Buhlmann Company and LGI Netherlands with their 'green building'.
More and more companies and organizations are discovering the benefits of switching to clean energy sources. Solar panels are a great way to reduce carbon footprint and offset energy consumption. Distribution centers are ideally suited for solar panels due to their size and mostly 'empty' roofs. In combination with the most efficient panel layout, maximum energy output can be achieved.
Sunprojects has installed 13,160 panels on the project in Dordrecht, with a total installed capacity of 5.3 MWp. The output of these panels is equivalent to the annual energy consumption of 1,860 Dutch households. It also avoids more than 3,392,000 kg of CO² emissions per year!
Curious what such a solar roof looks like from the air? In the video below you can see the total size of the distribution center.
