Sunprojects has installed over 1,100 solar panels on the roof of the ice rink in Alkmaar during the renovation of the ice rink. Immediately after installing the solar panels at IJsbaan de Meent, we built an additional solar panel installation at the new sports hall de Meent (next to the ice rink). Another 600 solar panels were installed on the flat roof of the sports hall. With this, a large part of their annual energy consumption is generated by the solar panels.

With an eye to the future, where electric driving and being able to charge your car or bike smartly everywhere is becoming increasingly important, Sunprojects has delivered a new milestone: A 150-meter carport with bi-facial solar panels, where charging with green energy is a spearhead while maintaining maximum parking capacity.

The 52 parking spaces now have a Sunprojects-designed canopy of 850 solar panels and 8 integrated charging stations.

The preparations for the next project, namely the bikeports, are also in full swing. This covered bicycle parking will also soon be integrated with charging stations.
