Sunprojects likes to think along in smart solutions to make sustainable energy generation in the Netherlands possible. Therefore, in addition to our regular projects, we like to take on projects that are more challenging than these 'standard' projects.

A good example of this is the sound barrier along the A20 motorway near Rotterdam. The slope of the noise barrier has an ideal angle for the 2,000 solar panels facing south.

In this way the 'unusable land' has been converted into a 700 meter long solar energy source!

The sustainable energy generated here is equivalent to the annual energy yield of 196 households.
